MOQ: 20 pieces

This 12V electronic BMW AC compressor control valve (CL-3004) is listed for BMW and Hyundai cars. When the valve fails, a workshop can fit a new valve and leave the compressor in place, so your customers are quoted for a small part and not for a complete compressor.

It suits markets with many BMW or Hyundai cars past their warranty years; where other makes lead, it works better as one line in a mixed order. Tell us your country, the BMW and Hyundai models you see most and your usual volumes, and our sales team confirms the exact models and where CL-3004 fits in your purchasing plan.

What Does a BMW AC Compressor Control Valve Do?

A BMW AC compressor control valve is the electronic valve that tells a variable-displacement compressor how much refrigerant to pump. The car’s A/C control unit sends a signal to the valve coil, and the valve turns compressor output up or down to follow the cooling demand, so the compressor works only as hard as the cabin needs.

The valve is fitted to the compressor as a separate part. If the valve fails while the compressor itself is sound, the valve is the only part that has to be changed; our guide to replacing a control valve without changing the compressor explains how a workshop tells the two cases apart. CL-3004 is the BMW and Hyundai reference in the range of control valves we supply.

Which Cars Does This BMW AC Compressor Control Valve Fit?

This BMW AC compressor control valve, CL-3004, is listed for two makes: BMW and Hyundai. It is a 12V electronic valve for combustion-engine cars. Our listing gives the make only, so the model, year and compressor are confirmed with you by our sales team before quotation.

MakeWhat is confirmedWhat our sales team confirms with you
BMWCL-3004 is listed for BMWWhich BMW models and years take this valve
HyundaiCL-3004 is listed for HyundaiWhich Hyundai models and years take this valve

One make can use several different valves. In our own range, CL-3007 is also listed for BMW and has the same 73 mm length as CL-3004, and our drawings give it a lower height including the connector, 48.5 mm against 51.3 mm. Which of the two a given BMW needs is confirmed by vehicle model through our sales team.

Two more valves share the 73 mm length and the same O-ring sizes but belong to other makes: CL-3005, our SD6C12 control valve, for Citroën, Peugeot, Chery and Trumpchi, and CL-3006, our Peugeot 307 control valve, also listed for Citroën. Neither is listed for BMW or Hyundai, so the make of the car is the first thing that separates them from CL-3004.

Send us your BMW and Hyundai vehicle list, with the compressor model where you have it, and our sales team tells you which valve each car needs.

Why Are BMW and Hyundai Markets Worth Sourcing Control Valves For?

BMW and Hyundai markets are worth sourcing control valves for because both makes sell in the millions every year and most of those cars still have a combustion engine, which is where this type of valve is used. The BMW brand delivered 2,169,761 vehicles in 2025 and Hyundai Motor sold 4,138,389, according to the two companies’ own results.

BMW: Most Deliveries Are Still Combustion Models

The BMW brand’s 2,169,761 deliveries in 2025 were 1.4% lower than the year before, as reported by the BMW Group. Across the whole group, which also includes MINI and Rolls-Royce, electrified vehicles made up 26% of sales. Roughly three quarters of the group’s cars were therefore not electrified.

Hyundai: More Than Four Million Cars a Year

Hyundai Motor’s 4,138,389 global sales in 2025 were nearly unchanged from 2024, and electrified vehicles accounted for approximately 23% of them, according to Hyundai Motor. That figure is for Hyundai Motor alone and does not include Kia. It leaves about 77% of a very large yearly volume as cars that are not electrified.

Cars Stay in Use, and Heat Makes A/C Repairs Urgent

A car is on the road long after it is sold. The average car in the EU is 12.7 years old, according to ACEA. Climate adds urgency in hot markets: the WMO reports that 2024 was the hottest year on record for the Arab region, with a number of countries recording temperatures above 50 °C.

What This Means for Your Purchase Plan

These are figures for whole brands, not for the cars that take CL-3004, so they show the size of the market and not the demand for this one valve. What decides your quantity is which BMW and Hyundai models run where you sell. Send us that list first; it tells us whether CL-3004 deserves a regular place in your order or a test quantity.

Who Can Supply BMW and Hyundai Control Valves Reliably?

C-Loong supplies CL-3004 as one of many control valves in a range that covers almost every vehicle make, built on more than 15 years in automotive A/C parts. For BMW and Hyundai that range matters, because each make uses more than one valve and a mixed order has to arrive with every reference correctly identified. A wrong valve in the box is a return for you and a lost repair for your customer. We also make compressor clutches and expansion valves, so the A/C lines for both makes can be ordered together.

For a valve outside our own production, tell us the specification, the quality level you need, your target price and the quantity. We look for the closest match in China’s supply market and check it again against what we know from making valves ourselves before we offer it to you. Where the market has nothing suitable, we can review the requirement as a custom development case. In each case you work with one contact for the full order.

How Is Every CL-3004 Control Valve Tested Before Shipment?

Every CL-3004 is tested before shipment, one by one, not by sampling a batch. A faulty valve that reaches a workshop comes back to you as a claim, so the purpose of each stage below is to find the fault while the valve is still with us.

Incoming Parts

The valve body, core, stem, coil, O-rings and springs are inspected before any of them is assembled. A spring that is too weak or an O-ring with a defect is rejected at this point and does not go into a valve.

Assembly

At assembly we check three things: the core moves freely, the assembly height is right and the O-rings are seated. CL-3004 has three O-rings, Ø13.2 × 1.5, Ø16 × 1.5 and Ø20 × 2 mm, which seal the cartridge in the compressor. If one of them is not seated, refrigerant can leak past it when the system is charged.

Electrical Tests on the Finished Valve

Each finished valve is measured for coil resistance and insulation, and for diode polarity where a diode is fitted. CL-3004 is a 12V valve that works on a signal from the car, so a coil outside its values means a valve that does not answer that signal. Nothing on the outside of the valve shows this kind of fault.

Function Tests on the Finished Valve

Next come actuation, energizing response and sticking, then leakage, flow and pressure response for this valve type. Together they show whether the valve will regulate the compressor once it is on the car.

When a Valve Fails a Check

A valve that fails is separated from the rest. It is either reworked and put through the tests again, or rejected. If one fault keeps appearing, we review the whole batch it came from.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong With an Order?

If something goes wrong with an order, the first step is to solve the problem you have now; who is responsible is settled afterwards. Send us the order number, the part number, the number of pieces affected, the BMW or Hyundai model and compressor each valve was fitted to, and photos. We confirm the scope with you and agree an interim step, so that your customer is not left without an answer.

After the cause is found, we trace it to where it started, in inspection, packing, dispatch or transport, and propose a final solution for that order. Our sales team handles the case from start to finish, and we act only once you have agreed. Faults in the product itself fall under the 1-year warranty.

Build a Purchase Plan for Your BMW and Hyundai Market

With CL-3004 as the starting point, we can work out a purchase plan for your market: which BMW and Hyundai valves to carry, how many of each, and which other A/C lines are worth adding. In our experience, a first order is usually several models at 20 pieces each; the regular order is then built on the models that prove themselves in your market. CL-3004 can go into that first order together with CL-3007 and other references from our range.

To start, we need the product, your country, your BMW and Hyundai vehicle list and an idea of quantity. If you can tell us what the valves are for and what the project should achieve, the plan can be shaped around it. If you are not sure what to send, write to our sales team as you are; they will answer patiently and suggest what suits you.
