MOQ: 20 pieces

This 12V electronic BMW X3 AC compressor control valve (CL-3007) is listed for the BMW X3 and the BMW X2 with a combustion engine. The valve is replaced on its own, so your customers pay for a valve and keep the compressor.

It suits markets where the BMW X3 is a common car on the road; where other makes dominate, it fits better as one line in a wider order. Tell us your country, the X3 and X2 model years you see most and your usual volumes, and our sales team confirms the exact versions and where CL-3007 fits in your purchasing plan.

What Does a BMW X3 AC Compressor Control Valve Do?

A BMW X3 AC compressor control valve is the electronic valve on a variable-displacement compressor that sets how much refrigerant the compressor delivers. The A/C control unit drives the coil of the valve with an electrical signal, and the valve raises or lowers compressor output in response, so the compressor delivers the cooling the cabin asks for and does not run flat out.

For the people you sell to, what counts is that the valve comes off the compressor as a separate part. If the valve fails while the compressor is still sound, the workshop fits a new valve and keeps the compressor; our control valve replacement guide sets out how the two cases differ. CL-3007 is the BMW X3 and X2 reference in our control valve range.

Which Cars Does This BMW X3 AC Compressor Control Valve Fit?

This BMW X3 AC compressor control valve, CL-3007, is listed for the BMW X3 and the BMW X2. It is a 12V electronic valve for combustion-engine versions and is not used on the fully electric iX3 or iX2.

The X3 has been built in several generations since 2003, and the X2 has been on sale since 2018. A model name alone does not tell us which compressor a car carries, so we confirm CL-3007 by model year or chassis code before quotation. We do not print years on this page that we have not verified.

Several valves in our range share the same 73 mm valve body, which makes them easy to mix up in a multi-model order.

CL-3004 has the same valve-body dimensions as CL-3007 and is also listed for BMW, so which of the two a car needs is settled by the vehicle. CL-3005, our SD6C12 control valve for Citroën and Peugeot, has the same body length but is listed for other makes and not for BMW, so we do not offer it in place of CL-3007.

Send us the X3 and X2 model years or chassis codes you handle most, and our sales team confirms which valve each one needs.

Why Is the BMW X3 Market Worth Sourcing Control Valves For?

The BMW X3 market is worth sourcing control valves for because the X3 is one of BMW’s best-selling models, it has been on sale since 2003, and many of those cars now have years of use behind them. BMW describes the X3 as one of its best-selling vehicles in the United States and worldwide, and its Spartanburg plant alone has assembled more than 1.7 million X3s since 2010, according to BMW Group.

A Model Sold Since 2003

The X3 opened the mid-size SAV segment in 2003. By the time the third generation arrived in 2017, BMW had recorded more than 1.5 million new registrations across the first two generations, as stated in its 2017 press kit. Both figures cover every X3 version, including those that do not take CL-3007, so they show the size of the car base and not a count of cars for this valve. The X2 is the younger model: it reached the market in March 2018 (X2 press kit).

Older Cars Stay on the Road

Cars are kept longer than they used to be. The average age of light vehicles in the United States, where the X3 is built and is one of BMW’s best sellers, rose to 12.8 years in 2025, according to S&P Global Mobility. An X3 from the first two generations, sold between 2003 and 2017, is now between about 9 and 23 years old. For a car of that age, replacing the valve costs the owner less than a complete compressor.

Heat Adds Urgency

Heat makes an A/C fault hard to live with. The WMO reports that 2024 was the hottest year on record for the Arab region and that a number of countries recorded temperatures above 50 °C.

What This Means for Your Purchase Plan

These figures show that the X3 base is large. They do not show how many X3s run where you sell, and that is the number that decides your quantity. Where X3s are common, CL-3007 belongs in the regular order; where they are few, 20 pieces next to your main lines is enough to test it.

Who Can Supply BMW Control Valves Reliably?

C-Loong has worked in automotive A/C parts for more than 15 years, and our range covers almost every vehicle make. On a BMW line the risk is a mixed batch: valves that look alike but do not perform alike turn into claims you have to settle with your own customers. Every CL-3007 is built and tested the same way, which is how we keep a reorder consistent with the first order. An X3 with a valve fault may also need a compressor clutch or an expansion valve; we make both, and they can ship in the same order.

If you need a BMW valve that is not in our range, tell us the specification, the quality level, your target price and the quantity. We look for the closest match in China’s supply market and check it ourselves, drawing on our own production experience, before we put it in front of you. Where nothing suitable exists, we can assess the requirement as a custom development case. You keep one contact for all of it.

How Is Every CL-3007 Control Valve Tested Before Shipment?

Every CL-3007 is tested before shipment, one by one and not by sampling. A faulty valve that reaches a workshop comes back to you as a claim, so the faults have to be found here. The process has five stages.

Incoming Parts

The valve body, core, stem, coil, O-rings and springs are inspected before any of them is assembled. Damaged or weak parts are taken out at this point, before they can become a valve that leaks or responds poorly.

Assembly

As the valve is put together, we check that the core moves freely, that the assembly height is right and that the O-rings are seated. CL-3007 has three of them, Ø13.2 × 1.5, Ø16 × 1.5 and Ø20 × 2 mm, and together they seal the cartridge inside the compressor. A ring that is twisted or out of its groove will leak under pressure.

Electrical Tests on the Finished Valve

The coil of every finished valve is measured for resistance and insulation, and diode polarity is checked on valves that carry a diode. CL-3007 runs on 12V and takes its command from the A/C control unit. A faulty coil would not answer that command, and nothing on the outside of the valve would show it.

Function Tests on the Finished Valve

Next come actuation, energizing response and a check for sticking, then leakage, flow and pressure response as this valve type requires. These tests tell us whether the valve moves when it is commanded and seals when it should.

When a Valve Fails a Check

Any valve that fails a check leaves the line. It is reworked and put through the tests again, or it is scrapped. A fault that repeats sends us back to the whole batch.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong With an Order?

When an order has a problem, we deal with the problem itself first and settle who is responsible afterwards. Tell us the order number, the part number, the quantity affected and the X3 or X2 model year the valves went into, and add photos. We work out what is affected and agree a temporary arrangement with you, so that your customer is looked after.

After that we find the cause and the stage it came from: inspection, packing, dispatch or transport. The final solution is based on what the order shows, our sales team handles it from start to finish, and it goes ahead only with your agreement. Faults in the product itself fall under the 1-year warranty.

Build a Purchase Plan for Your BMW Market

CL-3007 can be the first line of a BMW purchase plan: we help you decide which valves to carry for the BMW models in your market, how many of each, and which other A/C lines to add. Buyers we work with usually start with several models at 20 pieces each, watch which ones sell, and set the regular order from there. CL-3007 can go into that first order next to valves for other makes.

To start, we need the product, your target market, a list of the BMW models and years you handle, and an idea of quantity. If you share what the valves are for and what the project should achieve, we can fit the plan to it. If you are not sure what to send, ask our sales team; they will take the time to answer and point you to the option that fits.
