977011R100 97701-1R100 12V 6PK DVE12 AC Compressor for Hyundai Accent & Kia Rio 1.6L 2012-2017
Market Planning:
Tell us the vehicles that dominate where you sell, and we work out which compressor models earn a place on your shelf, so your capital sits in stock that moves.
Delivery Timeframe:
Normally 7–15 days. In-stock items may be dispatched on the same day. Final delivery time depends on order quantity and stock availability.
MOQ: 20 pieces
This 12V DVE12 AC compressor fits the Hyundai Accent 1.6L and Kia Rio 1.6L from 2012 to 2017. It replaces OE 977011R100 (97701-1R100) and comes with a 6PK 125 mm clutch pulley.
Where the Accent and Rio are everyday small cars for families, commuters or taxi fleets, this compressor keeps selling through independent workshops, and one model covers both. Where Hyundai and Kia are a small share of the market, it works better as one line in a wider range. Tell us your country, main vehicle models and usual volumes, and we will suggest where it fits in your purchasing plan.

What the 977011R100 AC Compressor Does in the Hyundai Accent
The 977011R100 is the A/C compressor for the Hyundai Accent 1.6L built from 2012 to 2017, and the Kia Rio 1.6L of the same years uses the same unit. The engine drives it through a 6PK belt. When the driver switches the A/C on, the clutch engages and the compressor starts pumping: it draws in low-pressure refrigerant, compresses it and pushes it on to the condenser, which keeps refrigerant moving through the whole system. Without it, the Accent’s air conditioning cannot cool the cabin.
When the compressor fails inside, through worn internal parts or a failed shaft seal, the car stops cooling and the Hyundai Accent air conditioner compressor is replaced as a complete unit. Our 977011R100 replacement is made for this job, and it is one of the wholesale auto AC compressors we supply for Hyundai, Kia and other makes.

Which Hyundai Accent Models Does the 977011R100 AC Compressor Fit?
The 977011R100 AC compressor fits the Hyundai Accent 1.6L built from 2012 to 2017, from the 2012 Hyundai Accent through the 2016 Hyundai Accent and the final 2017 models. The same replacement also fits the Kia Rio 1.6L of 2012 to 2017, where Kia lists the compressor under its own part numbers. Some 2012–2014 Accents were built with part number 97701-1R000, which we list separately as CL-130204, and the previous Accent, built up to 2011, uses a different compressor with OE 97701-1E000, our CL-603703. To check a particular model year, engine or trim, contact our sales team or send your vehicle list through the inquiry form.
Why This Hyundai Accent AC Compressor Is Worth Sourcing
A/C compressors are a steady replacement category. When one fails inside, the workshop replaces it as a complete unit, and each of those jobs is a sale for whoever can supply the right model. For the 2012–2017 Hyundai Accent and Kia Rio 1.6L, three things decide how much of that demand reaches you.
How many of these cars run in your market. These cars were sold in large numbers. In the United States alone, Hyundai sold 61,486 Accents in 2015 and 79,766 in 2016 (Hyundai Motor America, 2017), so the 2016 Hyundai Accent alone added tens of thousands of cars that now need this compressor. Where the Accent and Rio are common small cars, one model answers enquiries for both.
How much the A/C is used. In hot markets, air conditioning is not optional. Drivers run it for most of the year, and commuter and taxi cars run it for most of the day. The compressor works harder and wears out sooner, and a car without cooling goes to the workshop straight away. The longer the hot season, the more replacements each year.
How old the cars are. These cars are now between nine and fourteen years old and well past Hyundai’s new-car warranty, so owners take them to independent workshops, which is where you sell. Cars are staying on the road longer: in the United States, the average passenger car is now 14.5 years old (S&P Global Mobility, 2025). As these cars keep running, the same compressor keeps being asked for, and the 977011R100 sits naturally in a range of wholesale auto AC compressors built around the cars your customers bring in.
Growing Your A/C Parts Business Together
Two familiar small-car names, a hot climate and ageing cars make a clear opening for this compressor, and whether it turns into steady business depends on the supplier behind it. We make four A/C product lines: compressors, compressor clutches, expansion valves and control valves. We start from the cars your customers bring in. For Hyundai and Kia, that could mean our compressor for the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage alongside the 977011R100.
When a part on your list is outside our own production, our 15+ years in the A/C parts industry does the work for you. We know China’s supply market well: which factories make which parts, and at what level of quality. You tell us the price level your customers accept, the service life they expect and the quantity you need. We compare the options we know against those points, recommend the one that fits and explain why, including when the lower-cost version is enough. Before those parts join your order, we check their construction and workmanship against what we know from making these parts ourselves, and anything that falls short doesn’t ship. You send one list, deal with one contact and receive one shipment. With a minimum of 20 pieces per model, you can mix different Hyundai and Kia A/C parts in the same order.

How Is Every 977011R100 AC Compressor Tested Before Shipment?
Every 977011R100 compressor is tested on our own testing line before it is packed. That means every unit, not a sample from the batch. Each compressor is checked against the order specification (12V, DVE12, 6PK 125 mm pulley, connector and ports) and for visible damage. It is then leak-tested at the housing joints, the shaft seal and the refrigerant ports, and its clutch engagement and coil insulation are checked. Before packing, the model, label and quantity are checked again and the ports are capped.
The most important step is the bench test. Each compressor runs on a test bench that reproduces the temperature and pressure it will face in a car’s A/C system, while we check that it builds pressure, runs steadily and stays within normal noise and vibration. A compressor can turn freely by hand and still pump weakly or make noise once it is under load, and those faults only show up in this kind of test. Every unit that ships has already run under working conditions, not just passed a static check.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong With Your Order?
If something goes wrong, we deal with the immediate problem first, then find the cause, and our sales team agrees the final solution with you.
We don’t ask you to prove whose fault it is before we act, and we don’t go quiet while the cause is checked. Tell us what you are seeing: the order reference, how many pieces are affected, the vehicle, and photos or a short video if you have them. You get a first reply within about two hours of our working day. The first thing we deal with is the problem in front of you: what your customer is waiting for, where the goods are, and what you have already promised. That way you have an answer for your own customer before anything else is decided.
Once the immediate problem is under control, we check the cause in a fixed order: whether the right compressor was supplied, then the product, packaging and transport, then the installation and the rest of the A/C system. We don’t call it a product fault or an installation fault until all of this is checked. Our sales team then goes through the result with you, including what it means for the rest of the order and whether those units can stay on sale, and agrees the final solution with you.

Match This Compressor and Other Hyundai and Kia A/C Parts to Your Market
Share a little about your market, and we will show you where the 977011R100 fits in it. That includes which other Hyundai and Kia compressors, clutches, expansion valves and control valves are worth adding for the same cars, which models are likely to move where you sell, and which are better left out. You get a purchasing plan built around the cars your customers bring in, with pricing for the models that make sense.
Three details are enough to begin: the product or OE number, the country you sell into, and the quantity you are considering. It also helps to know the purpose of the purchase, such as extending a Hyundai and Kia range, replacing a current source or entering a new market, and the goal of the project, from a trial order to a regular supply line. With that, the plan can be matched more closely to your business. If some of this is not yet clear, our sales team can go through it with you, answer your questions in detail and suggest a practical way forward.
